We begin this morning with an ascent of Table Mountain by rotating cable car for outstanding views of the city and surrounding bay. Today is your tour of the most south-westerly point in Africa, Cape Peninsula. Take in spectacular views of the Cape of Good Hope from the summit of Cape Point, then a lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Boulders Beach, home to the protected land-based colony of African penguins.
Transfer to the airport for your early morning flight to Johannesburg. Board your coach for your journey to the province of Mpumulanga and the Thornybush Game Reserve, which is 10,000 hectares of pristine African bushveld. Set in the heart of the rolling lowveld and incorporated into the Greater Kruger National Park, the Thornybush Game Reserve is home of the ‘Big Five’ and a variety of other African wildlife species.

Experience morning and evening game drives through this amazing game reserve, which is predominantly open savannah. Travel via the magnificent ‘Panorama Route’, one of the most beautiful and popular travel destinations in South Africa. The stretch known as Blyde River Canyon is one of the natural wonders of Africa. The amazing canyon comes to an end at Bourke’s Luck Potholes. From many well-positioned vantage points you will have a view of the 33 kilometre long gorge. The potholes are impressive rock formations that were shaped millions of years ago by erosion. Stop at God’s Window for breathtaking vistas before continuing to Johannesburg.

Transfer to the airport to meet your flight to Livingstone, Zambia. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel, set on the banks of the magnificent Zambezi River. This afternoon see the powerful and majestic falls at close range during your tour of the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. Tonight climb aboard the historic Livingstone Express steam train for a traverse of the Mosi-oa-Tunya Game Park, accompanied by a five course meal on board.

In nearby Botswana is Chobe National Park, a truly remarkable bio-diversity teeming with wildlife centred around the Chobe River where thousands of elephants, hippos and buffalos roam amongst lush vegetation. The park is home to an amazing variety of birds and animals and its lush green jungle habitat is of stark contrast to other parks in Tanzania.

Don’t miss the chance to rise early this morning and witness a spectacular sunrise over the crater. Following breakfast, enjoy an extended game drive through Ngorongoro Crater, reputed to contain the largest number of predators in Africa, due to the vast numbers of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle.
After breakfast, continue your journey via Arusha and travel north into Kenya to Amboseli National Park, located beneath the tallest freestanding mountain in the world, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. Late this afternoon, en route to your lodge enjoy a game drive through the national reserve with its wide, dry plains and where the horizons stretch into the furthest distance and become one with the sky.

The snow clad peak of Mount Kilimanjaro soars above you as you enjoy a game drive through the savannah and acacia scrub of the Amboseli National Park. Heading deep into the park you will encounter large concentrations of elephants, birdlife such as grey heron, stork and Egyptian goose and other wildlife, which are drawn to this area due to a series of large, lush swamplands. Journey back through the outskirts of Nairobi to the city’s famous safari park for lunch then continue onto Aberdare National Park where your lodge has a unique viewing platform over a waterhole and salt lick that attracts herds of elephant and buffalo.

Continue your African journey to Lake Nakuru, set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland and home to large flocks of pelicans and pink flamingos, and other diverse wildlife. Continue to Masai Mara National Reserve, where a once in a lifetime experience awaits as you witness the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the Great Migration (seasonal).
