Day 1: Moscow (D)
Welcome to Moscow. A Scenic Tours representative will personally greet you and arrange your transfer* to your ship where you will be warmly invited on board by your dedicated crew.
Day 2: Moscow (B,L,D)
Start your day by seeing all the major sights of the city on a guided tour. After lunch in a local restaurant, enjoy a ride on Moscow’s Metro – considered one of the best subway systems in the world. After lunch visit Red Square and enjoy a tour of the most well-known icon in Russia, St. Basil’s Cathedral. SCENIC SUNDOWNERS Enjoy a refreshing cocktail during an evening cruise on the Moskva River, where you can admire Moscow fine sites and architecture from the waterways.
Day 3: Moscow (B,L,D)
Your day starts with a visit to the Kremlin, seat of the former Soviet Union’s intrigue. In the State Armory, you’ll see priceless weaponry, jewels, and ceremonial robes. After your tour enjoy free time to explore the bustling city of Moscow on your own or return to the ship. This evening you’ll witness a thrilling National Russian Show (not available on all departures).
Day 4: Moscow (B,L,D)

SCENIC ENRICH: This morning visit the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics. Here you will have the opportunity to meet with a real cosmonaut and see the history of space exploration, including original exhibits and models of space technology, history and art. Tonight you’ll attend an internationally renowned Circus.

Day 5: Moscow (B,L,D)
This morning chose from the following Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) visit the State Tretyakov gallery, a world-famous museum housing a unique collection of Russian art which includes masterpieces created more than a thousand years ago; or (2) visit the Museum of the Armed Forces, where you will have an opportunity to see a vast collection of Russian military memorabilia, and displays relating to the Soviet Union's part in WWII. This afternoon we depart Moscow and set sail for Uglich.
Day 6: Uglich (B,L,D)
Take an Included walking tour of historic Uglich, part of the Golden Ring of cities around Moscow. The town dates back to the 10th century and was used by the legendary Ivan the Terrible in the 16th century as a base for his attacks against the Tatars.
Day 7: Yaroslavl (B,L,D)
Today tour the magnificent Golden Ring city of Yaroslavl; founded in 1010 it is older than Moscow. The historic part of the city, a World Heritage Site, is located at the confluence of the Volga and the Kotorosl Rivers. During your Included city tour you will have the opportunity to visit the Transfiguration of the Saviour Monastery, founded in the 12th century, the monastery and its cathedral are among the oldest buildings in the city; we will also see the magnificent Church of Elias the Prophet, which is also a UNESCO site.
Day 8: Goritsy (B,L,D)
Today we visit the Kirillo-Belozersky monastery, built in 1397 and home to an impressive collection of Russian Orthodox icons. As the ship sets sail this afternoon, sample the beverage that has been integral to Russian culture for over 600 years, Vodka.
Day 9: Kizhi Island (B,L,D)
Today your ship docks at Kizhi Island; the island hosts some of Russia’s most amazing wooden architecture. You’ll visit this open air museum and its precious collection of wooden churches and chapels. You’ll also view the Church of Transfiguration with its 22 timbered onion domes.
Day 10: Mandrogi (B,L,D)
Your ship arrives in the museum village of Mandrogi, on the bank of the river Svir, a majestic river running from Lake Ladoga to Lake Onega. SCENIC ENRICH:It’s all ashore to explore this charming summer resort, reconstructed after WWII. You will have the opportunity to try Shashlik, a traditional meal similar to shish kebab.
Day 11: St. Petersburg (B,L,D)
Welcome to St. Petersburg. Start your day with an Included city tour, seeing all the major sights, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. This afternoon you’ll visit the Hermitage, formerly the Winter Palace and home of the Tsars. Today it houses one of the world’s greatest art collections.
Day 12: St. Petersburg (B,L,D)
Your day starts with a visit to the magnificent summer residence of Russian royalty at Peterhof. Choose from one of the following Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) enjoy a guided tour of Catherine’s Block and the fountains in the Lower Garden; or (2) an orientation tour of the Grand Palace, followed by a walk through its magnificent Gardens; or (3) a guided tour of the Palaces’ majestic Fountains, including both the Upper and Lower Gardens. This afternoon choose from the following SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) enjoy a guided visit to St. Isaac’s Cathedral; or (2) tour the 19th century Yusupov Palace.
Day 13: St. Petersburg (B,L,D)
This morning visit Catherine’s Palace, famous for its grandiose white and gold façade and elaborate gardens. SCENIC ENRICH: Enjoy a highlight lunch at the old-world wooden ‘Podvorie’ restaurant. Here you will be offered traditional Russian cuisine with all products and wine home-grown from the restaurant owner’s private summer residence. This afternoon enjoy time at leisure. SCENIC ENRICH: This evening you will be treated to a glass of sparkling wine followed by a private Russian ballet concert at the Palace of Prince Vladimir. The Palace was the last Imperial palace to be built in St. Petersburg.
Day 14: St. Petersburg (B,L,D)
Commonly known as the 'Venice of the North' St. Petersburg lies on the River Neva and it's home to 18th century palaces, towering cathedrals and churches. This morning we'll enjoy a cruise through the city's canals and glide under some of the city's 400 bridges, while admiring historic monuments and landmarks.
Day 15: St. Petersburg - Helsinki (B,D)
This morning board the newly appointed high-speed train Allegro as you farewell Russia to travel to Helsinki in Finland. Your Included sightseeing tour will take you to such sights as Senate Square, the Sibelius monument, Olympic Stadium and the lively harbour area. Meet up this evening over a welcome drink and dinner at the hotel with your fellow travellers and Tour Director.

Located on a beautiful green island just a few kilometres from the heart of Helsinki, your excursion today takes you to the authentic open-air museum of Seurasaari. The museum is a tribute to the traditional Finnish way of life with colourful costumes, entertainment and architecture on display.
Day 17: Helsinki - Tallinn (B,D)
Enjoy the morning at leisure to explore the fascinating city of Helsinki on your own before relaxing on board your hydrofoil ride across the Baltic Sea to the Estonian capital, Tallinn.

Day 18: Tallinn (B,D)
Today enjoy a guided city tour; followed by one of the following Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE activities: (1) visit the Kadriorg Palace and Park; the area is home to some of Tallinn’s most prestigious residences, including the baroque palace built by Peter the Great for his wife, Catherine I; or (2) enjoy a guided tour of the Old Town famous for its jumble of twisting, cobblestone streets and Gothic spires. Day 19: Tallinn - Riga (FB,D)
Depart Tallinn this morning for Riga, passing through Parnu, Estonia’s summer capital, famous for its mud baths and spa resorts. The Historic Centre of Riga has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city is particularly notable for its extensive Art Nouveau architecture, cosy beer cellars and cafés. On your tour you will see St. Peter’s Church with its 123 metre high tower.

Day 20: Riga - Rundale - Sauliai - Vilnius (B,D)
This morning we leave Riga and travel to Vilnius. On route to the Lithuanian city of Sauliai we stop at the extraordinary ‘Hill of Crosses’. This symbol of Christian resistance to the Soviets features millions of small Crosses, which were repeatedly bulldozed during the occupation. This evening we arrive in Vilnius for our two night stay.

Day 21: Vilnius (B)
This morning join your expert local guide for an insightful walking tour around the Old Town with its many famous examples of baroque architecture. You’ll see all the famous landmarks, including the University, the Gates of Dawn with its remarkable chapel and the famous Vilnius Cathedral. In the afternoon visit the beautiful Trakai Island Castle, located only a short drive outside of Vilnius. The castle, which began construction in the 14th century, is sometimes referred to as ‘Little Marienburg’
Day 22: Vilnius - Warsaw (B,D)
After breakfast we depart Vilnius. Our route will take us into the amazing Mazurian region, which encompasses 4,000 lakes in a pristine setting, where a great deal of the landscape remains virgin forest. We cross the border into Poland and continue on to the capital Warsaw.

Day 23: Warsaw (B,D)
Warsaw was largely destroyed in World War II, however the historic centre has been rebuilt and has attained UNESCO World Heritage status. We visit the Jewish Ghetto with a local guide this morning for a striking reminder of the suffering endured in WWII. We will also see the monument to the Ghetto heroes, the Palace of Culture and the Chopin Memorial. SCENIC FREE CHOICE (1) enjoy a guided tour of the Royal Castle; or (2) visit the Warsaw Uprising Museum and learn about Poland’s history. SCENIC ENRICH This evening enjoy an exclusive piano concert of Chopin music in a Manor House, followed by dinner.
Day 24: Warsaw - Berlin (B)
This morning you will be taken to the main train station where you board your first class carriage for the journey across the heart of Poland and into the German capital, Berlin.

Day 25: Berlin (B,D)
This morning we journey to Potsdam, where our local expert historian shares his knowledge of the town and its history as we visit the Cecilienhof where the Potsdam Treaty was signed in 1945. After free time in Potsdam we return back to Berlin. SCENIC ENRICH We have arranged special entry to explore the renovated parliamentary building that was controversially set on fire in 1933. After our tour, we’ll enjoy coffee and cake whilst under the famous glass dome. This afternoon see the Brandenburg Gate, State Opera House, Alexander Platz, drive ‘Unter den Linden’ and visit the former Checkpoint Charlie. Checkpoint Charlie was once the notorious border crossing between the Soviet and American sectors, and witness to a number of dramatic events during the Cold War.
Day 26: Berlin (B)
SCENIC FREE CHOICE (1) visit the Berlin Wall memorial and Hackesche Höfe; take a ride on Berlin’s subway and learn the historic details of this notorious time in German history, such as the Berlin Wall and stories of those who risked their lives for freedom; or (2) take a relaxing cruise on the Spree River where you will view many of Berlin sights and fine architecture from the waterways.
Day 27: Berlin (B)
After breakfast this morning transfer* to the Berlin airport for your onward or homebound flight.
