This 21 day tour takes you on an amazing journey from Prague to Paris and includes a 15 day Jewels of Europe River Cruise on board a luxury Scenic ‘Space-Ship’.
Your 21 day Prague to Paris tour begins in the picturesque Czech capital where you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Prague’s Old Town and visit the famous Cathedral of St Vitus, the Charles Bridge and the Astronomical Clock. Next stop is Budapest, where you will explore the highlights of this city built on both sides of the Danube during a guided tour. Here you will also board your Scenic ‘Space-Ship’ and cruise through the stunning landscapes of Austria where a highlight will be beautiful Vienna. Whilst in Vienna, you will experience a memorable night as you enjoy a private Viennese concert at the majestic Palais Liechtenstein, featuring the music of Strauss and Mozart.
Your cruise will then continue through Regensburg, Nuremberg, Bamberg and Würzburg allowing ample time to explore the character and charm offered by these German cities. You will witness the spectacular Rhine Gorge with its stunning castles and vine-covered slopes en route to the historic city of Cologne where you will have the chance to discover its Old Town and enjoy a private medieval banquet in Marksburg Castle. Next you will board a luxury coach bound for Paris. Welcome to Prague, one of the truly magical cities of Europe. Situated on the bank of River Vltava in central Bohemia, the beautiful city of Prague is rich in history and is home to some of the world’s most pristine and varied collections of architecture. You will be met at the airport by your Scenic Tours Representative and transferred* to your centrally located hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink this evening with your fellow travellers and Tour Director.

Day 2: Prague

Today join your local guide on your Included sightseeing tour through the old town. Start your tour at the top of the towering Prague Castle before making your way down the cobbled stone streets to such sights as the cathedral of St Vitus. After your Included visit of the cathedral walk across the Castle courtyards to the Little Quarter over the Charles Bridge. One of the most familiar sights in Prague, the Charles Bridge was commissioned in 1357 by Charles IV after the Judith Bridge was destroyed by floods. After relaxing over Coffee and Cake continue your sightseeing to the Old Town where you conclude your tour at the foot of the Astronomical clock. Enjoy a Highlight Dinner of traditional Czech cuisine and local entertainment.
Day 3: Prague

Enjoy exploring this magnificent city at your leisure where your Tour Director is on hand to help plan your day. You may wish to visit the Old Jewish Cemetery and Gothic Synagogue, built around 1270 or visit one of the many museums Prague has to offer.

After breakfast depart Prague by luxury coach to the Hungarian capital of Budapest. A warm welcome awaits you from your crew as you board your luxury Scenic ‘Space-Ship’ and settle into your cabin. Day 8: Dürnstein - Melk

In Dürnstein you will have leisure time to explore one of the most enchanting villages in the region, famous for its wide range of Apricot produce and towering castle on top of the hill. For the more active, you may wish to embark on a guided bike ride along the river from Dürnstein to the quaint town of Melk, where you will have the opportunity to witness some truly spectacular scenery whilst your Scenic ‘Space-Ship’ glides through the awe-inspiring wine region of the Wachau Valley to meet up with you. In Melk you will discover the magnificent Benedictine Abbey. During your Included visit inside the Abbey you will be treated to an SCENIC ENRICH organ recital, performed by one of the housing Benedictine Monks.
Day 9: Linz - Passau

Today our cruise arrives in Würzburg, the capital of Lower Franconia. It is said to be one of the loveliest baroque cities in the country and became famous as the centre of Franconian wine production. Today choose from one of the following Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) Würzburg is best explored on foot, on your guided walking tour stroll through the market square and see the late-Gothic Church of St. Mary before visiting the Prince Bishop’s Residenz Palace. Explore the extraordinary baroque palace, completely restored after World War II bombings; or (2) Follow the Romantic Road to Rothenburg, a walled medieval gem overlooking the Tauber river; or (3) a self guided bicycle tour through this wine covered area. We continue our journey to Rüdesheim where we board the ‘Winzerexpress’ mini train for an Included guided visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. Board a cable car for the trip to the 125-foot Niederwald Monument, overlooking the river. Cruise this afternoon through the spectacular Rhine Gorge with its stunning castles and vine-covered slopes. Tonight SCENIC ENRICH highlights include a private Medieval banquet in Marksburg Castle. Set high above the banks of the Rhine this 12th Century castle is the only one never to have been destroyed. This morning your ship docks in the Dutch capital of Amsterdam. Choose from one of the Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) A sightseeing canal cruise through the cities 17th century architecture in a glass-top boat; or (2) Explore Amsterdam the traditional way on a guided bicycle tour through the canals and over the wooden bridges. En route visit the Dam Square, Royal Palace and the war monument and then into the Red-Light district where you’ll see the Old church and Nieuw Market; or (3) A visit to the open-air conservation area and windmills of Zaanse Schans.
