This 14 day holiday showcases the best of the Rockies, including Victoria, Vancouver, Banff, Jasper, Whistler, Lake Louise and a 2 day Rocky Mountaineer rail trip.

Your 16 day rail adventure begins in beautiful Victoria, home to the world famous Butchart Gardens. You will cross to the mainland by ferry and drive north along Howe Sound, stopping to view Shannon Falls en route to the resort of Whistler Village, where you will step into the world of the black bear.

Next stop is Hat Creek Ranch to learn about the local culture of the Shuswap Nation and then Sun Peaks, located in British Columbia’s interior. Travelling through the Cariboo region to Jasper, you will view tantalising glimpses of the soaring granite mountains of Canada’s Rockies and incredible native wildlife. The famous Icefields Parkway are next with a stop at the Columbia Icefield for the Ice Explorer journey onto the mighty Athabasca Glacier before arriving at Canada’s ‘Diamond in the Wilderness’, Lake Louise.

You will then travel to the alpine town of Banff via Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge, where you will travel on the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Next you will board the famous Rocky Mountaineer for a two day rail experience of a lifetime to Kamloops and Vancouver via the Thompson River and Fraser River Valley.

Day 1: Victoria (D)
Welcome to Victoria. Upon arrival at Victoria Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel, located on Victoria’s Inner Harbour (please book flight to arrive before 5pm). Tonight, get to know your Tour Director and travelling companions over a ‘Welcome to Canada’ dinner.

Day 2: Victoria - Butchart Gardens (FB)
Wander at your leisure through the Included world famous Butchart Gardens. Enjoy 22 hectares of gorgeously manicured floral displays influenced by the Butchart’s world travels. Day 3: Howe Sound - Whistler (FB,D)
Travel to Nanaimo and cross to the mainland by ferry. Drive north along Howe Sound, stopping to view the awesome Shannon Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in British Columbia. Continue to the charming resort of Whistler Village, home to the 2010 Olympic Nordic and Alpine events. Optional 1 hour floatplane flight to Whistler. Leave the crowds behind and soar over the Georgia Strait. Arrive at lunch time giving you more time to explore (additional expense, subject to seasonal operation).

Day 4: Whistler (FB)

Day 5: Whistler - Sun Peaks (FB,D)
Continue to the alpine ski village of Sun Peaks, located in British Columbia’s interior. After dinner enjoy this evening’s Included SCENIC ENRICH highlight: a historic insight into the fur trading industry and life as a pioneer, Exclusive to Scenic Tours.

Day 6: Sun Peaks - Jasper (FB,D)
Travel through Mount Robson Provincial Park, enjoying tantalising glimpses of the soaring granite mountains of Canada’s Rockies. Stand at the base of the awesome 3954m Mount Robson before arriving into Jasper. Keep an eye out for Canadian wildlife such as bears, moose, elk and caribou often seen grazing by the roadside. Day 7: Jasper (FB)

Travel south, along the incredible Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as ‘one of the most spectacular journeys in the world’. Stop at the Columbia Icefield, where you’ll take the ‘Ice Explorer’ onto the mighty Athabasca Glacier. Enjoy a nature walk along the shoreline of the beautiful Lake Louise before settling in for an evening in Canada’s ‘Diamond in the Wilderness’. Day 9: Emerald Lake - Banff (FB,D)
Witness Lake Louise change colour with the rising sun and enjoy a morning at leisure before visiting nature’s craftwork of Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge. Upon arrival in Banff, you will travel 698 metres on the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Continue westward following the Thompson River and Fraser River Valley before arriving into Vancouver.

Enjoy breakfast this morning before transferring* to the airport for your homebound flight.
