This 23 day tour soaks up Victoria, Vancouver, Whistler, Jasper, Banff, Lake Louise and Sun Peaks, with the Rocky Mountaineer rail experience and 7 night Alaskan cruise.

This sensational 23 day experience begins in the capital of British Columbia, Victoria with a two night stay at the Fairmont Empress Hotel. You will visit the world famous Butchart Gardens with their glorious manicured floral displays and choose from an amazing array of activities such as salmon fishing or whale watching.

Next, travel to Nanaimo and cross to the mainland by ferry, driving north along Howe Sound and stopping to marvel at the awesome Shannon Falls before arriving in Whistler where you will step into the world of the black bear. Next stop is Hat Creek Ranch to learn about the Shuswap Nation culture before arriving in Sun Peaks. You will then travel through the Cariboo region en route to Jasper, providing glimpses of the soaring granite mountains and the incredible native wildlife on the way. 

From Jasper your tour continues south along the incredible Icefields Parkway, where you will take the Ice Explorer onto the mighty Athabasca Glacier.  You will be able to witness the stunning Lake Louise change colour with the rising sun before visiting Emerald Lake en route to a two night stay in Banff, in Canada’s first national park. A two day Rocky Mountaineer rail adventure is next, crossing the Kicking Horse Pass, glaciers and snow-capped mountains before arriving in Kamloops and then Vancouver.

Surrounded by the Gastineau Channel, the Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau Icefields, Alaska’s capital is famed for its scenery and isolation. Juneau is accessible only by air or sea so the best way to arrive is by luxury cruise. Explore the lush Tongass National Forest; or journey above on Mount Robert’s Tramway; or learn the city’s Gold Rush story; or drop into the Red Dog Saloon; or visit the fascinating Alaska State Museum (shore excursions are at own expense).
Day 17: Skagway (FB,L,D)
Cruise into Skagway, the gateway to the Klondike and a featured setting of Jack London’s book, ‘Call of the Wild’. Enjoy plenty of free time to go ashore and stroll along the weathered boardwalks admiring the shop front facades, reminiscent of the gold rush era. The Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park boasts restored buildings inviting you to take a stroll back in time.
Day 18: Glacier Bay (FB,L,D)
Early this morning, enter the iceberg strewn waters of Glacier Bay National Park. Marvel at the glacial ice wall carved by nature in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. This breathtaking scenery will be brought to life by a National Park Service Ranger as they help you spot wildlife and interpret the glacier activity and surrounding environment. Glacier Bay has more actively calving tidewater glaciers than anywhere else in the world.
Day 19: Ketchikan (FB,L,D)
Arrive into picturesque Ketchikan, salmon capital of the world. Stroll along the elevated boardwalk; or take a self guided tour of the town; or cast a line at the fishing camp; or experience a bear adventure by float plane (shore excursions are at own expense).
