This incredible 27 day adventure features the best of the Canadian Rockies and British Columbia, followed by a luxury cruise to Alaska and Arctic Circle flight.
Your extraordinary 27 day journey begins in Victoria, highlighted by a visit to the world famous Butchart Gardens and your choice of activities including whale watching or a flight on a floatplane. You will then take the scenic route, starting with a ferry trip to the mainland, stopping off in the alpine towns of Whistler, Sun Peaks, Banff and Lake Louise. Along the way you will take in the awesome Shannon Falls, visit Hat Creek Ranch to learn about the local Shuswap Nation culture, witness the aptly named Emerald Lake, take an incredible ride on the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain and enjoy a nature walk around the exquisite Lake Louise.
Next you will enjoy a visual feast as you journey along The Icefields Parkway from Lake Louise to Jasper, with a stop to experience the Ice Explorer onto the mighty Athabasca Glacier. From Jasper you will board the Rocky Mountaineer rail travelling via Kamloops, considered one of the most spectacular train trips in the world, before arriving in Vancouver where you will board your luxury ship for Alaska.
Your seven night trip cruises via the remote Alaskan capital, Juneau, Glacier Bay and past Skagway onto Whittier, always providing a dazzling array of magnificent glacial scenery including Prince William Sound and College Fjord. The magnitude of these glaciers is difficult to imagine with some dwarfing even the largest cruise ship.
From here you will overnight at the stunning Mt McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge then travel on land into the heart of Alaska on the Midnight Sun Express train. Early this morning, enter the iceberg strewn waters of Glacier Bay National Park. Marvel at the glacial ice wall carved by nature in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. This breathtaking scenery will be brought to life by a National Park Service Ranger as they help you spot wildlife and interpret the glacier activity and surrounding environment. Glacier Bay has more actively calving tidewater glaciers than anywhere else in the world.
Day 19: College Fjord

Within Prince William Sound lies College Fjord and its collection of glaciers. The glaciers were named after Men’s and Women’s Colleges, by professors on their discovery expedition sponsored by elite U.S. Colleges. When naming the glaciers, Princeton however was curiously overlooked. The magnitude of these glaciers is difficult to imagine. Some reach forty storeys above sea level, dwarfing even the largest cruise ship.
Day 20: Whittier - Mt McKinley
