Spend 12 days exploring Australia’s Top End and the incredible Kimberley region; including visits to Katherine Gorge and the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park.

Your 12 day tour begins in Darwin where you will spend two days exploring the city, before travelling to the amazing World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park and visiting Nourlangie Rock, covered in ancient Aboriginal rock art. Next you will enjoy a guided cruise of Yellow Water Billabong before travelling to Nitmiluk National Park and enjoying another fantastic cruise, this time through the spectacular Katherine Gorge.

Your tour continues to Western Australia, where you will see the magnificent inland sea of Lake Argyle and enjoy a boat trip on the Ord River, allowing you to pass beneath immense gorge walls and view peaceful scenery. From Kununurra you will travel to El Questro Wilderness Park, a million acre park set in the stunning outback Kimberley landscape. Continuing your journey onto Halls Creek, you will visit the extraordinary China Wall before meeting the small community of Aboriginal students at Yiyili Aboriginal Community School. You will then take a boat trip along the exquisite Geikie Gorge with its unusual white-banded walls.

Your tour concludes in Broome, with a visit to Derby to see the enormous Boab Prison Tree on the way.

Day 2: Darwin (FB)
Today there is the chance to get intimate with the abundance of wildlife in the area, or you can relax and enjoy the scenery around Darwin with your Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE choose from: (1) a guided tour to the Territory Wildlife Park; or (2) a cruise on the Adelaide River and see the unique jumping crocodiles; or (3) a lunch cruise on Darwin Harbour; or (4) a guided walking tour of Darwin’s historical and cultural sites; or (5) learn of the importance of Australia’s role in WWII with a frontline Australia WWII journey. Day 3: Darwin - Kakadu National Park (FB,D)
Enter the amazing World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park teaming with life and natural beauty. Visit Nourlangie Rock for your Included SCENIC ENRICH experience. Marvel at ancient Aboriginal rock art which is at least 50,000 years old, whilst your guide enlightens you on the art, history and culture of the local aboriginal people. Gain a deeper understanding of the park at the Bowali Visitors Centre, then board your vessel for an Included cruise on the Yellow Water Billabong. Your local indigenous cultural guide will provide a fascinating insight into the abundant wildlife that inhabits the area and the traditional owners’ mythology.

Day 4: Kakadu - Katherine (FB,HD)
Travel to Nitmiluk National Park and enjoy an Included SCENIC ENRICH journey on the Nabilil Dreaming Sunset Cultural Cruise through the famous Katherine Gorge. Discover the stories and ways of the Jawoyn people against a magnificent backdrop of towering cliff faces changing colour with the setting sun.

Day 5: Katherine - Kununurra (FB,D)
Travel into Western Australia as the expanse of the Kimberley fully reveals itself with a visit the magnificent Lake Argyle, the largest lake in the southern hemisphere. Enjoy one of the highlights of the tour as you take in the spectacular scenery on your Included SCENIC ENRICH cruise journey down the Ord River to Kununurra where you will pass beneath immense gorge walls, view peaceful river scenery and have the opportunity to spot some of the region’s incredible wildlife including crocodiles and an abundance of birdlife.

Day 6: Kununurra - El Questro (FB,D)
Included visit to Mt Romance Sandalwood Factory and learn more about the region’s famous fragrant timbers. Then enjoy an Included tour of the enormous Ord River Irrigation Scheme that has transformed the semi-desert cattle country to a luscious, year round agricultural area. Follow the spectacular Cockburn Range before reaching Wyndham and stand in awe at the vast expanse of land that sits before you at the 5 Rivers Lookout. Continue to the acclaimed El Questro Wilderness Park, a million acre park set in the stunning outback Kimberley landscape.
Two Night Stay: El Questro

Today there is the opportunity to: (1) take a scenic flight over the World Heritage listed Bungle Bungle Range, or (2) substitute today’s touring with a full day Bungle Bungles tour (both at additional expense).

Day 7: El Questro Wilderness Park (FB,D)
Today there is the opportunity to explore the rugged beauty around El Questro with your Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE choose from: (1) a  cruise through Chamberlain Gorge; or (2) bush culture and history tour; or (3) wet season history tour; or (4) a picnic hamper. This afternoon is free to relax in the tranquil resort setting, enjoy a walk in the surrounding area or go for a refreshing swim in the waterhole.
Day 8: El Questro Wilderness Park - Halls Creek (FB,L,D)
Admire the striking colours of the massive Carr Boyd Ranges as you travel to the world’s largest single producer of diamonds, the Argyle Diamond Mine, for an Included private guided tour of the open cut mine and lunch. Continue to Halls Creek, the oasis of the Kimberley which sits on the northern edge of the Great Sandy Desert.

Day 9: Halls Creek - Fitzroy Crossing (FB,D)
Included SCENIC ENRICH visit to Yiyili Aboriginal Community School for a chance to meet the small community of Aboriginal students and view the local artwork (subject to availability). Day 10: Fitzroy Crossing - Broome (FB,HD)
Travel to the port town of Derby and see the enormous Boab Prison Tree. Continue to the pearling capital of Broome, with it’s long stretches of white sand beaches and warm tropical waters.
