This 18 day tour takes you to some of Kenya and Tanzania’s most famed locations including two of the world’s most famous landmarks, Victoria Falls and Ngorongoro Crater.

Your 18 day tour begins in the vibrant South African city of Johannesburg before travelling to Livingstone in Zambia to experience the powerful and spectacular Victoria Falls. You will then spend a day game driving through Chobe National Park, before flying back to Johannesburg and travelling onto Kenya’s thriving capital, Nairobi. From Nairobi you will head across to Tanzania, a country of incredible wildlife, inspiring landscapes and a rich, diverse culture. Your Tanzanian adventure will take you to Lake Manyara National Park, which is a haven for lions, elephants and large troops of baboons.  Then visit the world famous Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive through the crater, which reputedly contains the largest number of predators in Africa.

It is then back to Kenya for a visit to the Amboseli National Park, located beneath the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. You will experience an incredible game drive through the reserve before visiting a traditional Masai Village and learning first-hand about their culture. Continuing through Kenya, you will visit Mount Kenya National Park and Lake National Park, home to large flocks of pelicans and pink flamingos. Finally, you will discover the Masai Mara National Reserve on a game drive through the home of Kenya’s largest population of lions, and, depending on the time of year you are travelling, you may witness the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth, the Great Migration. You final destination is back to Nairobi to celebrate this incredible African tour.

Day 1: Johannesburg
Welcome to Johannesburg. Transfer* to your hotel to meet your Tour Director.

Day 2: Johannesburg - Livingstone (B,D)
Transfer to the airport to meet your flight to Livingstone, Zambia. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel, set on the banks of the magnificent Zambezi River. This afternoon see the powerful and majestic falls at close range during your tour of the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. Tonight climb aboard the historic Livingstone Express steam train for a traverse of the Mosi-oa-Tunya Game Park, accompanied by a five course meal on board.

Day 3: Chobe National Park (B,L)
In nearby Botswana is Chobe National Park, a truly remarkable bio-diversity teeming with wildlife centred around the Chobe River where thousands of elephants, hippos and buffalos roam amongst lush vegetation. Enjoy a cruise along the river, dine at a river lodge and take an afternoon game drive along the shore in open safari vehicles.
Day 4: Livingstone (B)
SCENIC ENRICH Visit a typical Zambian village to gain an appreciation of traditional tribal life. Later explore the quaint town of Livingstone and the museum which showcases the life of David Livingstone, the famous Scottish missionary.SCENIC SUNDOWNERS board your vessel for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.
Day 5: Livingstone - Johannesburg (B,D)
Take a magnificent helicopter flight over Victoria Falls (own expense).

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg, then transfer to your hotel.

Day 6: Johannesburg - Nairobi (B,D)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Nairobi, the thriving capital of Kenya. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 7: Nairobi - Tarangire National Park (B,L,D)
Following breakfast leave the bustling city of Nairobi behind and travel to the Namanga border and enter Tanzania, home to interesting wildlife, inspiring landscapes and a rich, diverse culture. Continue your journey to Tarangire National Park, situated between Lake Manyara and the sheer rock walls of the Rift Valley escarpment. The park is home to an amazing variety of birds and animals and its lush green jungle habitat is of stark contrast to other parks in Tanzania.

Day 8: Tarangire Sopa Lodge - Ngorongoro Crater (B,L,D)
Enjoy an early morning game drive through this beautiful and incredibly diverse park, which is well known for its lions, elephants and large troops of baboons. Travel to the world famous, Ngorongoro Crater, often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the eighth Natural Wonder of the World. Our lodge is spectacularly located on the rim of the ancient crater, affording breathtaking views. SCENIC ENRICH Witness a traditional dance performance by a local tribe performed in the grounds of the Sopa Lodge.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater (B,L,D)
Don’t miss the chance to rise early this morning and witness a spectacular sunrise over the crater. Following breakfast, enjoy an extended game drive through Ngorongoro Crater, reputed to contain the largest number of predators in Africa, due to the vast numbers of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater - Amboseli National Park (B,L,D)
After breakfast, continue your journey via Arusha and travel north into Kenya to Amboseli National Park, located beneath the tallest freestanding mountain in the world, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. Late this afternoon, en route to your lodge enjoy a game drive through the national reserve with its wide, dry plains and where the horizons stretch into the furthest distance and become one with the sky.
Two Night Stay: Amboseli National Park
Day 11: Amboseli National Park (B,L,D)
The snow clad peak of Mount Kilimanjaro soars above you as you enjoy a game drive through the savannah and acacia scrub of the Amboseli National Park. Heading deep into the park you will encounter large concentrations of elephants, birdlife such as grey heron, stork and Egyptian goose and other wildlife, which are drawn to this area due to a series of large, lush swamplands. SCENIC ENRICH Visit to a traditional Maasai village where you will learn first hand about this complex culture. The Maasai culture is a truly independent and proud culture and undoubtedly one of the most famous traditional cultures on earth. Maasai are semi-nomadic farmers and have resisted the urging of governments to adopt a more sedentary lifestyle. They are in harmony with most wild animals and have an aversion to eating game. As a result, Maasai land has East Africa’s finest game. SCENIC FREE CHOICE (1) a nature walk; or (2) a soothing massage.
Day 12: Amboseli - Aberdare National Park (B,L,D)
Journey back through the outskirts of Nairobi to the city’s famous safari park for lunch then continue onto Aberdare National Park where your lodge has a unique viewing platform over a waterhole and salt lick that attracts herds of elephant and buffalo.

Day 13: Aberdare National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park (B,L,D)
Continue your African journey to Lake Nakuru, set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland and home to large flocks of pelicans and pink flamingos, and other diverse wildlife. SCENIC ENRICH Visit the Lake Nakuru Baby Orphanage Centre, established by an Australian family who care for the children and the surrounding community. Enjoy lunch with the children for a memorable experience. This afternoon enjoy your game drive en route to the Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, which is nestled along the Lion Hill overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic vistas of the lake and the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day 14: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve (B,L,D)
Continue to Masai Mara National Reserve, where a once in a lifetime experience awaits as you witness the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the Great Migration (seasonal). It has been recorded that the Masai Mara attracts 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 bird species, during the annual migration over 1.5 million wildebeest. Your game drives traverse the Masai Mara which is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas, the pinnacle being the hazardous Mara River.

Day 15: Masai Mara National (B,L,D)
Take a Hot Air Balloon over the Masai Mara (own expense).

Enjoy game drives through the Masai Mara which is situated in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grasslands and home to the largest population of lions in Kenya. Vast herds of zebra, impala, antelope, gazelle and giraffe grace the landscape, hippos populate the streams and lakes, and the woodlands and savannah are home to leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah. Day 16: Masai Mara National (B,L,D)
Enjoy your second day of activites at Masai Mara National Reserve.
Day 17: Masai Mara - Johannesburg (B)
SCENIC ENRICH Exclusive farewell bush breakfast on the plains of the Masai Mara. Take in the spectacular views on your flight back to Nairobi, then connect to your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, transfer to the lively shopping district of Sandton. Sandton Square has a vast range of retail shops as well as countless eateries and restaurants.
